Thomas Ela has been a financial planner since 1984. He received his Bachelor of Arts from The William Paterson College in Wayne, New Jersey. He holds the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is involved with the ongoing financial education program at Financial Network.

As a Registered Representative with Financial Network Investment Corporation, Tom strives to meet the needs of high net-worth individuals, successful professionals, business owners, and retirees. His practice specializes in Asset Management, but as a full service financial planner, he examines the client`s entire financial picture. This includes retirement, college and estate planning; as well as life, health, disability, and long term care insurance. Tom works in tandem with a local attorney and CPA to review his clients wills and tax returns to insure that all bases of a sound financial plan are addressed. He and his staff are driven to building lasting long term relationships with his clients. He is a member of the MVP and Premier Client Divisions at Financial Network.

Tom prides himself on providing his clients with quality service and the highest integrity to gain the client’s confidence. Tom’s goal is to help individuals and business owners sort through the myriad of financial options, products, and services, and offer advice appropriate to each individual’s specific situation. By establishing himself as an independent financial planner, Tom can offer his clients the best sources, products, and carriers available in the marketplace today.

During his career in the financial planning industry, Tom has made a commitment to hard work and long hours. Through his commitment to excellence and reputation from outstanding service, Tom has built a solid client base and has expanded his business through referrals from satisfied clients. Tom conducts monthly financial planning seminars at local libraries, YMCA’s, and community centers, as well as financial planning classes for women and small business owners at various area adult schools.

Tom is very involved in Rebuilding Together, a national organization that rehabs the homes of low income homeowners.  In addition to his annual Rebuilding Together Bergen County project, in 2007 he spent two weeks in Mississippi working on two homes ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. Active in his community, Tom is a member of the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce and the Wyckoff Lions Club. He has held the offices of director and president for both organizations. He was also a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for 7 years.  He also is an active member of the St. Elizabeth’s Pre-Cana team, where he addresses the candidates about financial issues.  He resides with his wife Trish and son Thomas in Wyckoff, New Jersey. In his leisure time, Tom enjoys golfing, fishing, boating, cycling and skiing.
